AM/PM - PROJECT

Man must rise above the Earth to the top of the atmosphere and beyond for only thus will he fully understand the world in which he lives. Socrates

 

The images of the nebulas, galaxies colliding, gases, dust and explosions in our Universe give me a feeling of being infinitely small and giant at the same time.

I could travel the voids, the tensions and flow at the speed of light towards the eternal source of energies, where the genesis is continually making and reforming the worlds.

When I started choosing the images I wished to paint for the AM/PM project, I went for the classical physics approach. I started to calculate the distances between stars, nebulas, galaxies with the aim to select twelve images from the most faraway places explaining the expansion of the space. Something felt wrong, and I abandoned the process. My truth about the universe is a tale I try to recover, listen and share.  I knew that the emotions to unveil were stimulated from a deep part of me, deeper than my unconscious. These images echo mysterious and immaterial information travelling from origins.

 

I dream that sharing my perception of the Cosmos, will resonate in the observer a parallel emotion of humbleness and greatness. You and I, one in this immense Universe.
